Character Portraits (digital photographs, 2009)
Playing with the concept of identity, I've invented and play the roles of several characters, employing my bizarre and awkward sense of humor to bring new personas to life. The lines are blurred between fiction and reality - as well as age and gender - and questions are raised about who these people are beneath the surface. Are they somehow related to one another? Body language, gesture, and color compliment the costume/props, and begin to unveil a more complex individual and story. Whether it be their mystique, self-reflection, playfulness or wackiness, an intimate connection is sparked, inviting the viewer to complete the narrative and to fill-in missing information from the depths of their own imagination.

Family Corp. (2009)
A fictional comedic short about my family had we gone corporate. Influenced by my own daily experiences as an executive assistant, I inject specific aspects of corporate logic into the domestic home environment. When the two worlds of work and home collide, an awkward but entertaining dialogue is created as the characters face different challenges during a meeting. |

sleepskit (dual channel) (2008)
How far will Mom and Dad go in a desperate attempt to wake up their son? To the left, Mom and Dad act out a frustrating morning ritual; to the right, I mock their exact actions and behaviors through the use of wigs, mustaches and other props that characterize, yet comedically fictionalize their personas. The synced-up execution of this video results in an uncanny portrait of a typical suburban family exaggerated in a dysfunctional turn of events.

job opening (2007)
Upon a recent move to New York City, the job search was quite a frustrating and daunting experience. After mass-applying to dozens of positions, and over-perfecting my resume, I began to channel all of the frustrating aspects of the job seeking, interviewing, and application processes into an absurdly ridiculous and nonsensical job position of my own. Through role-playing and emphasizing the corporate stereotype, I suggest who just might be hiding behind all those elitist and garrulous job postings.
